Pure Linen Herringbone – 155 gsm, 136cm – Herringbone Weave

100% linen, 155 gsm, 136 cm wide, 14 x 14 herringbone weave, pre-shrunk and supplied on 100 m rolls. The chevron is woven into the cloth, so you get a directional V pattern without printing or embossing.

This is a suiting and tailoring weight. Buyers use it for blazers, waistcoats, wide-leg trousers, skirts and overshirts, and it also works for structured cushions and table runners where a quieter pattern is wanted. At 155 gsm it drapes without being limp, which is the balance most tailored womenswear lines look for.

The herringbone breaks up the surface just enough to read as texture rather than pattern, so it sells in natural, ecru and earth tones without looking decorative. Hand is dry and slightly crisp, the cloth breathes well, and the chevron partly masks the creasing that flat plain weave shows.
