Linen-Cotton Jacquard – 215 gsm, 136cm – Jacquard Weave

55% linen / 45% cotton, 215 gsm, 136 cm wide, 15 x 15 jacquard weave, pre-shrunk and rolled at 100 m. The pattern is built on the loom, so what you see is structure rather than ink.

This is a decorative weight. Buyers use it for jackets with a visible weave, structured skirts, waistcoats, cushion covers, table linen, throws and light upholstery. It suits hotel and hospitality work particularly well, because a woven pattern does not fade or crack the way a print can after industrial laundering. At 136 cm the width takes a standard cushion panel or a jacket body without a centre join.

The jacquard lifts parts of the surface, so the cloth catches light unevenly and reads as a texture from a distance. Hand is substantial with good body, and the cotton component keeps it from feeling hard. It creases, but the raised pattern breaks the line.

If you want a woven figure with less weight, our 230 gsm pure linen dobby and the 155 gsm herringbone both carry their pattern in the weave. For a flat blend ground instead, the linen-cotton plain weave range covers 140 to 252 gsm.
