175 gsm 55% linen / 45% cotton twill weave at 136cm. Suited to midweight — dresses, trousers and light outerwear. The twill weave gives a denser diagonal construction — more body and better abrasion resistance than plain weave. Blended so that cotton softens the hand and reduces creasing and lowers the cost against pure linen.

55% linen / 45% cotton, 175 gsm, 136 cm wide, twill weave with a cotton 60/2 warp against a linen 14 weft, pre-shrunk and supplied on 100 m rolls. The fine cotton warp and coarse linen weft are what give the cloth its even diagonal and its relatively smooth face.
Buyers use it for trousers, jackets, skirts, uniforms, aprons and structured workwear, plus cushion backs and bag panels where a flat diagonal is wanted. At 175 gsm it is the weight that holds a crease and still moves with the body.
The cotton warp keeps the surface from being as scratchy as pure linen twill, and it takes a press better. The linen weft keeps the dry hand and the slubs. Result: a twill that looks like a workwear cloth but feels closer to a mid-weight apparel fabric – useful if your line sits between the two.
Our 180 gsm pure linen twill is the same weight with no cotton, so it is crisper and creases harder. For a flat blend surface in this weight band, go to the linen-cotton plain weave range; for a jacquard figure, the 215 gsm jacquard.
