Linen-Cotton Slub – 180 gsm, 136cm – Slub Weave

30% linen / 70% cotton · 180 gsm · Slub Weave · 136cm

30% linen / 70% cotton, 180 gsm, 136cm width. Sold by the bolt. Sample cards available on request.

180 gsm 30% linen / 70% cotton slub weave at 136cm. Suited to midweight — dresses, trousers and light outerwear. The slub weave gives irregular thick-and-thin yarns, for a pronounced natural texture. Blended so that cotton softens the hand and reduces creasing and lowers the cost against pure linen.

30% linen / 70% cotton, 180 gsm, 136 cm wide, 12 x 12 slub weave, pre-shrunk and supplied on 100 m rolls. The 12 count slub yarn leaves a clear thick-and-thin streak across the cloth rather than the finer irregularity of our 20 x 20 plain weave.

Buyers use this for overshirts, summer jackets, wide trousers, dresses, and for soft home textiles such as cushion covers and throws. At 180 gsm it has enough body for a jacket but still drapes, which is the range most mid-weight casual collections sit in.

The cotton majority is the point: the cloth feels softer and less scratchy than a linen-heavy slub, presses flatter, and keeps a matte surface. The linen still shows in the streak and in the dry touch. It creases less than pure linen slub and washes without going stiff.

If you want the same idea with a linen-heavy hand, our 285 gsm pure linen slub is much heavier and rougher; for a flat 55/45 ground in the same weight band, see the linen-cotton plain weave range. A three-fibre slub with Tencel is the 180 gsm linen-Tencel slub.

Pre-shrunk, 100 m per roll, 1,500 m minimum per color. Sample card and specification sheet on request.
