330 gsm 55% hemp / 45% cotton plain weave at 136cm. Suited to heavyweight — outerwear, bags and upholstery-weight uses. The plain weave gives a clean, flat surface that dyes and prints evenly. Blended so that hemp adds strength and a dry, matte texture and cotton softens the hand and reduces creasing.

55% hemp / 45% cotton, 330 gsm, 136 cm wide, 11 x 16 plain weave, pre-shrunk and supplied on 100 m rolls. This is the heaviest natural-fibre cloth in our range, and the only one built on hemp rather than linen.
Buyers use it where weight and durability matter: upholstery and cushion covers, bag and tote bodies, aprons, workwear, heavy throws, table linen and simple outerwear. At 330 gsm it is a structural textile, not a garment shirting, and it suits brands that want a visibly substantial, undyed-look cloth.
Hemp behaves like linen but coarser: the yarn is thicker, the surface more rustic, the hand drier and harder-wearing. Cotton softens it enough to keep it workable. It creases heavily and holds a fold, which is part of the look; it also takes natural and earth-tone dyeing particularly well.
If you want a heavy cloth with a smoother, more refined face, our 251 gsm linen-polyester is the practical alternative, and the 285 gsm pure linen slub is the all-linen heavy option. For a mid-weight woven figure instead of a flat ground, the 215 gsm linen-cotton jacquard sits well below this weight.
